This Recovery Month, Mosaic Group will recognize the hospitals and health systems leading the charge with Reverse the Cycle, a hospital substance use response model.

The 87 hospitals implementing Reverse the Cycle nationally are powered by dedicated teams who stand with patients every day. Their work is saving lives, lowering hospital crises, and nearly halving overdoses.

About Reverse the Cycle

Reverse the Cycle is Mosaic’s substance use response program designed to embed effective treatment pathways directly into hospital emergency departments. The program includes:

• SBIRT (Screening, Brief Intervention, and Referral to Treatment) delivered by PRCs
• Overdose Survivors Outreach Program (OSOP) with community-based follow-up
• Hospital-based MOUD (medications for opioid use disorder) initiation and fast-track referrals

Since 2014, Mosaic has helped implement RTC in 87 hospitals across the country, including sites in Maryland, West Virginia, Michigan, and beyond.

We invite providers, peer teams, and recovery partners to explore the new directory as a tool for improving patient care and strengthening collaboration across hospital-based peer programs.
