Fred served as Director and Clinical Director of programs at the Kennedy Krieger Institute and University of Maryland Baltimore. He has provided and designed mental health and child welfare services as a practitioner, supervisor, administrator and consultant. This comprises extensive consultation, supervision and training in the practice of family therapy and best practice models for children and families who have experienced trauma, specifically complex developmental trauma. He has participated in numerous federal and state funded grants that includes research about community-based family service models addressing trauma, grandparent-headed households and the implementation of Motivational Interviewing learning strategies.
